This crochet blanket pattern is my attempt to show Anne that there is scope for imagination in patchwork. Each of the 16 quilt blocks included in this pattern is inspired by a character from the book - for example, Anne’s block is like a whirlwind to represent how she affects everyone around her when she arrives in Avonlea. As well as the main blocks, I have included appendices with over 100 alternative block layouts as well as a space for you to design your own blocks. Although originally designed for an Anne of Green Gables themed yarn advent from Skein and the Stitch, the pattern can easily be customised to suit any yarn and gauge.

Option 2:1008m/1102yds of coloured sport or light DK weight yarn and 765m/837yds of neutral sport or light DK weight yarn. 

NOTE: DK yarns can vary in thicknesses across brands. Skein and the Stitch's Plush DK is a thin DK yarn, closer to a sport weight therefore you may have gauge and meterage issues if you use DK yarn that is on the medium-thicker size of DK.
